1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files (and similar storage such as local storage) that a site can use on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are optional and only used if you agree.

2. How We Use Cookies on oddjobs.im

We group cookies like this:

  • Essential — required for core features (login sessions, security, load, and remembering your cookie choice). These run without an analytics opt-in.
  • Analytics (optional) — help us understand which marketing pages people visit so we can improve the site. We only load these if you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner.

You can use the site with Essential only. The site will still work; we simply will not run Google Analytics for that browser until you opt in (or clear site data and choose again).

4. Your Choices

On public pages we show a cookie banner with:

  • Accept analytics — we load Google Analytics for that browser and remember your choice.
  • Essential only — we do not load Google Analytics; we remember that choice.

If you ignore the banner, we do not treat that as consent for analytics, and we do not load Google Analytics.

To change your mind later: clear this site’s cookies / site data in your browser (or use a private window). The banner will appear again and you can choose differently. You can also block or delete cookies in browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break login or other features.

5. Third Parties

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on oddjobs.im.

If you accept analytics, usage data is processed by Google as the provider of Google Analytics. That can include online identifiers and technical data (for example approximate location derived from IP, device/browser information, and pages viewed). Google’s own privacy materials describe how Google handles that data.

Choosing Essential only (or never accepting) means we do not load that analytics tooling for your browser.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
